If you struggle with anxiety, I want you to know: There is another solution. You don’t have to feel like this.
With every symptom, it is absolutely essential to consider the root cause. Without investigating the root-cause we cannot find comfort in a cure. Just like if you kick the dresser and stub your toe every morning, no matter how much aspirin you take, you will never enjoy a pain-free toe—that is, unless you stop kicking the dresser.
Similarly, if you do not look for the root cause of your anxiety, you may never enjoy the possibility of freedom until you investigate the cause.
While causes vary from person to person, for example: trauma, medication side effect, stress in the home or work place, there may biological causes of your symptoms.
Today we’re going to talk about one important biological cause of anxiety, and that’s imbalances in your thyroid health.

13. 7 Powerful Stress Stopping Skills: Falling Down the Well
Thursday Jul 09, 2020
Thursday Jul 09, 2020
If you’re ready to win the battle against anxiety, lack of self-confidence, sleepless nights, and turn the page in the pill-for-an-ill model, you’re in the right place. Our passion is to help you get your life back. You deserve freedom, you are worthy of living the life you were meant to, and you can make small changes that get you big results in a short amount of time.
Welcome to my podcast I’m Dr Nicole Cain a Naturopathic Doctor with a Master's in Clinical Psychology and a former anxiety sufferer turned Anxiety Freedom Rebel.
Today we’re going to talk about how to go deep without losing yourself in the process. You are going to learn 7 powerful skills for stopping anxiety BEFORE it takes center stage.
So, without further ado, let’s get started.
The first thing I want to say is that above all else, you must trust your inner self. Since we were born, we have been trained to obey others, and in doing so, we so too often turn away from ourselves. Instead of being raised to listen to our intuition, trust our gut instincts, and honor our personal limits—even and especially when they are uncomfortable or inconvenient to others—we are told to walk in a straight line, be good “Victorian children” (seen and not heard), and to comply with the rules of the house, the city, the state, your country and even God.
When untethered, this kind of mentality can be dangerous, and even fatal, to the fire that you were given at conception.
In the 17th to 19th centuries, the Age of Enlightenment, otherwise known as the Age of Reason or Renaissance humanism emerged. This movement carried with it the work of Rene Descartes, Isaac Newton, and other philosophic thinkers.
Paving the way for political revolutions with a centrality on "sovereignty of reason," liberty, and rejecting the former philosophies of absolute monarchy and dogmatism—this renaissance forever changed the fundamental expectations of human thought and in part, served as a springboard for modern day thinkers like Danielle Laporte, Elizabeth Gilbert and Glennon Doyle.

12. Conquering Insomnia, Anxiety, and Sleep-Related Issues, Part 1.
Wednesday Jul 01, 2020
Wednesday Jul 01, 2020
One of my biggest pet peeves is when people declare: “You know, sleep is really important, you should really work on getting a good night’s sleep.”
When I hear that I want to smack them across the side of the head and shout: “What a good idea! Wish I had thought of that!”
But then I take a breath, count to four, and exhale on four counts, and thank my prefrontal cortex for preventing me from having an outburst when someone is simply trying to be kind and helpful.
But if you’re listening to this, it probably means that you, like myself, struggle with sleep. And I’d be willing to venture that helpful advice like what we just heard, doesn’t help.
Instead, it reminds you how powerless and frustrated you feel every single night when you get into bed and lay awake counting sheep while the rest of the world snoozes away.
The good news is that you can sleep again and I’m going to show you how.

10. Change in Action: How One Person Got Their Life Back From Bipolar Disorder
Thursday Jun 18, 2020
Thursday Jun 18, 2020
This is an interview you are not going to want to miss.
Welcome, to the Get Your Life Back podcast.
If you or anyone you know, have ever struggled with bipolar disorder, you know how debilitating it can be on your health, your relationships and even your finances.
You don’t know what to do, and the option from your doctors is to go down the list of medications and hope for the best.
If you resonate with any of this, then this episode is for you.
We’re going to sit down with Jarred, a bipolar warrior. Diagnosed with bipolar disorder type 1 rapid cycling, Jarred was hospitalized over 30 times in 12 years, and is one of the most inspirational warriors that I know of when it comes to this topic.
Jarred started down an integrative path for healing himself six years ago and on that journey he has identified strategies to stop and prevent manic episodes from occurring, pursue activities that gives him meaning, and is now studying to be a cognitive behavioral healer himself.
How did he do it? That’s what we are going to talk about today.
How to identify patterns in mood changes, create your force field strategies, going beyond your diagnosis, beyond your label, and everything in between.
This is going to be a life changing interview, so let’s get started.

This podcast is going to be a little different. This transformational meditation is designed for those who are struggling with anxiety and panic RIGHT NOW.
If you’re having a panic attack, I want you to know 3 things:
You are going to be okay.
Your anxiety cannot hurt you.
These feelings are temporary.
If you struggle with anxiety, this episode is for you.
If you deal with frequent panic attacks, bookmark this episode in your phone.
Turn the page on the vicious cycle of panic, pill, panic, pill, and learn how to stop the panic loop.
We are going to go through the Anxiety Freedom Ritual, together.
One of the most effective strategies for dealing with a panic attack in a way that will reduce the frequency, intensity, and duration of panic attacks in the future is by utilizing the tools we will discuss in your own home-made Anxiety Freedom Kit.
Here is how to create your own Anxiety Freedom Ritual Kit:
You will need:
A fanny pack, purse, or small bag that you can carry with you (make sure it’s portable)
A pack of ginger chews (or another candy of choice)
One or two essential oils of your liking (therapeutic oil is best)
Disposable Instant Cold Pack (you can find these online)
A worry stone (I like to find something in nature)
A straw (short is better, 3 inches or shorter)
Bubbles (you can get these online or in most local stores)
Your supplement or botanical of choice for anxiety (my favorite is Kava Kava)
You can find most of these items on Amazon - here is a link to a folder of my favorites!

Wednesday May 27, 2020
Wednesday May 27, 2020
What would you say if I told you that over a period of 78 years, the average person spends 3 years of that in intentional and conscious choice. The other 74 years were spent in autopilot.
What would that mean to you?
What would you change?
What would you do in order to reclaim another year? Or 10? Or more?
What would that be worth?
Today, we’re going to talk about fear, trauma, autopilot, and how to wake up and live the life you were meant to live.
